The Mara West Camp is committed in supporting the locals by employing them at the camp and supporting their projects.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

The Camp is owned by missionaries who share the profits with the local communities by empowering them through the construction of the schools, medical clinics and supporting financially challenged people in the local community. Most of the staffs at the Mara West Camp are local Masai people.
