Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Mara Simba Lodge is the first lodge in Masai Mara National Reserve to install a waste water treatment plant. All the sewage produces crystal clear water used for irrigation by the locals. This is very important as Masai Mara normally have little rainfall throughout the year.
